Syuminn's Terms of Service
(You will need to sign this before the artist starts the commission)By commissioning me in any kind of way, you are agreeing to my terms of service below.Any statement can be bound to change if discussed with me, the artist, prior to the commission.I. GENERAL TERMS
- Provide clear references when required
- Any ill behavior will not be tolerated and your commission will be canceled if it occurs.
- I, the artist, have the right to decline or cancel a commission for any reason.
- Clients must state whether their commission will be used solely for personal use, to remain private, or they intend to use it commercially/ potentially profit off of the work. Commercial work and private commissions will always require an additional fee.
- If a client requests a commission that has a deadline of a week or less, priority fees may apply.II. PAYMENT
- All commissions must be paid full upfront (Only upon receiving payment, I will start on the commission.)
- Prices will be in SGD
- Payment can only be made by Paypal or PayNow
- Payment cannot be made in the form of cash or checkIII. PROCESS
- The client must provide a clear idea of the work they would like. The artist will then provide the client with the rate.
- Please provide clear reference images if required.
- Please do state if you have a preferred canvas size, resolution or type of image format/ file type before I start on the commission.
- As stated above, work will start once full payment has been received.
- Work in progress will be given to client in the form of low resolution JPG after each phase (eg. Sketch/ Line art/ Color…)
- Small changes such as change in color palette, changing the character’s nose shape, etc. will be free
- Large changes such as poses, panel redraw, change in costume, etc will be charged at SGD $5 per change. (Changes will not be made until payment is received)
- Work will be started as soon as possible once payment has been received. The artist will inform the client if there is a queue for commissioned work and will keep them informed of their place in line.
- The client will be sent a high resolution JPG/ PNG of their commission via email once the client has confirmed that the work is to their satisfaction.IV. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
- I, the artist, will do everything I can to make my clients happy
- However, changes cannot be made after the work is complete and after the artist have sent out/ the client has received their high resolution files via email
- I, the artist, request that the client be clear with what they would like from the beginning to avoid any major issues and minimize the chance of needing changes made.V. COPYRIGHT/ USAGE POLICY
- I, the artist, hold every right to the produced drawing, not the clientTherefore, I am allowed to use it to:
- Promote myself
- Display it anywhere to my liking
- Post it wherever I want.The client is allowed to:
- Use the copyrighted artwork for personal use only unless agreed otherwise
- Print the art, and claim the right of their character(s) but not the drawing itself
- Share the artwork on their own social media pages and/or use the art to promote themselves with proper credit given to the artistIf the client were to break the copyright infringement in any way, every right they had to the artwork will be retracted.The following is considered copyright infringement:
- Reproducing/ using the copyrighted artwork commercially
- Taking credit for the creation of the artwork
- Removing any watermarks/ signatures
- Altering the artwork without my, the artist’s, consentA purchase of Commercial rights to the artwork will always be 400% of the original price.With commercial rights, you are allowed to make any sort of merchandise with the artwork.
Credit is still required for usage of the artwork, even if it is altered or edited.Private commissions will always inquire for an additional 50% fee.VI. CANCELING/ REFUNDING POLICY
- I have the right to cancel and refund the money for your commission at any time.
- The client may only request a cancellation and refund during the sketching phase.
- If a cancellation is requested during the lineart or color phase, no refund will be given.
- If a cancellation and refund is requested, the artist will refund 50% of whatever has been paid up until that point.
- 100% refunds will never be made once the work has started.
- If payment has not yet been made, the client has the right to cancel the commission.
